We currently use various interventions with children & young people which are approved by the BOND-Ace Framework and we work within the NICE guidelines which supports within our work.

We have a proven track record of providing  effective services which increase the emotional well- being and resilience of children and young people.

Developing good practice and continuous training has enabled us to support children and young people in decreasing trauma effects preventing them from having long term issues, supporting them to increase confidence and self-esteem and support them to create positive behaviour modifications. Chilren & young people who have worked with us have also shown increased educational engagement and attainment. Over all becoming more socially and emotional available to fulfil their potential.

We are a great believer that intervention is a priority, these experiences keep a children and young peoples brain in constant fight or flight and it’s important to support recovery and teach them how to rest the brain to help deescalate learnt behaviours. During these phases children & young people can present as anxious, angry, impulsive, disengaged, present with global learning delays, problems self-regulating, regressions, dissociative behaviours, low mood, hyper vigilant and struggle to trust and build relationships, with negative attachment styles.

The need for early intervention

Evidence suggest that there is a  significant need for early mental health support:

  • One in eight children and young people have a diagnosable mental health problem, and many continue to have these problems into adulthood.
  • 50% of those with lifetime mental health problems first experience symptoms by the age of 14.
  • Among teenagers, rates of depression and anxiety have increased by 70% in the past 25 years.
  • NHS England estimates that poor mental health costs the economy, NHS and society £105 billion a year in England  (WHO)

Children and young people  are less likely to suffer from reoccuring serious mental health difficulties in later life if they receive support at an early age.

This prevention and proactive apporach will be hugely cost saving to adult mental health services.

Growing evidence indicates that promoting positive mental health correlates with a range of positive school outcomes, the evidence suggest that attitudes to learning are increased, better attendance and lower exclusion rates.

Social, Emotional, Behavioural & Theraputic  Support

They will help design a recovery plan for themselves.  This will help them to understand what has happened to them and help them feel in control increasing their autonomy
