Our Counselling Placements offer a great opportunity to work within our school or community setting. We offer a safe therapeutic setting within schools and in our community setting.

Placement Structure



  1. One day a week in a school or on site in our community settings,
  2. Developmental Group Supervision once a month,
  3. All placements are for a whole academic year,
  4. School hours are 8.30am - 4.pm (Some half days or split days are available),
  5. We recruit 3 times a year, but we do accept applications all year round,
  6. Compulsory staff training.



minimum standards for placements


In order to apply for a placement with I.M.P.A.C.T Northeast you will need to be studying towards one of the folowing


  1. Foundation Degree/Diploma (Level 4 or above)  in Counselling and be passed for practice by your educational setting.
  2. Degree or Masters in Counselling, counselling/clinical psychology, Play Therapy, psychotheray or Art Therapy.
